After a federal court clerkship and a stint at a major Wall Street firm, Ed Byrne has practiced in the construction field since 1978. He represents the New York City and Hudson Valley Chapters of the National Electrical Contractors Association, the New York Electrical Contractors Association and numerous member firms thereof. Ed has negotiated multimillion dollar construction contracts with both public and private entities. He is experienced in labor and multi-employer employee benefit matters and has litigated a wide variety of matters in state and federal courts and arbitral forums, including cases resulting in appellate precedents in the
construction field. Ed is a creative problem solver with a record of spotting issues that other lawyers have missed, and using this ability to bring both negotiations and court cases to speedier conclusions that benefit his clients. Throughout his career he has devoted substantial time to charitable and pro bono causes, and has been particularly active in the youth sports programs of his hometown, Rockville Centre, New York.

Initially focused on litigation, Andrew spent the first seven years of his career litigating toxic tort, complex commercial, personal injury, breach of contract, and various other matters.
While representing numerous Fortune 500 companies, Andrew obtained a defense verdict on behalf of a major U.S. airline in an action seeking over $13 million dollars in damages and obtained a pre-trial dismissal of a legal malpractice action on behalf of a major national law firm.
Seeking to switch his legal focus to building upon strong relationships with clients by advising them in how to avoid potential pitfalls while also advocating on their behalf, Andrew
joined MCB in January 2021. He represents the New York City and Westchester/Fairfield Chapters of the New York Electrical Contractors Association, numerous member firms thereof, as well as other trade contractors. Andrew understands his clients’ objectives and works to effectively and efficiently achieve results so that his clients can get back to concentrating on their own businesses.
